NOTE: Below you can find the instructions that were given for applying within the last call for applications for the course 2007-2009, which is already closed. You may use this as a reference for preparing your application for the course 2008-2010, since only minor changes may occur. The final details as well as the electronic application form for the Call for Applications for the MSc EF course 2008-2010 will be posted in this webpage on 1st of October 2007.
Application
Procedure
The application for the MSc European Forestry Erasmus Mundus Course consists on:
- An electronic application, to be submitted electronically together with the required enclosures as electronic attachments.
- A printed version of the electronic application, to be submitted by post (hard copy) together with the required enclosures (as paper documents).
Bear in mind that applications submitted ONLY electronically are NOT valid; you must also submit the paper version of your application by post.
The required enclosures for your application are:
A. Officially attested true copy of your Bachelor and/or other degree certificates
B. Authorised translation of the degree certificates in English
C. Official academic study transcript or officially attested true copy of it
D. Authorised translation of the study transcript in English
E. Curriculum Vitae
F. Copy of a passport (the page with information on personal details). If passport is not yet available, attach a copy of an identity card or other identity document with a photograph, which includes information on nationality.
G. If you are NOT a native speaker in English: original TOEFL/IELTS certificate OR a certificate from your university stating that the language of instruction has been English. Alternatively, this certificate can be sent directly to us by the Institution.
H. Two letters of academic recommendations in sealed envelopes with contact information (university email address) of the referee, according to the REFERENCE FORM provided below. Alternatively, these reference letters can be sent directly to us by the referees.
We kindly ask you to scan the required documents A, B, C, D, E, F and G (all except the recommendation letters) beforehand so that you will be able to attach as many of them as possible when sending the electronic application.
Deadline for applications for the next MSc EF course 2008-2010 is 31st of December 2007; this call, to be opened on 1st October 2007, welcomes applications from students and profesionals from all countries. Additionally, an extra call only for European applicants from EU/EEA-EFTA and candidate countries for accession to the EU will be opened during spring 2008 with deadline in the beginning of June 2008. All deadlines are as per post mark for the paper version, i.e., applications with the postal stamp until the last day of the application period are valid. Any application sent after the deadline will automatically be rejected.
Please note that the submitted applications become the property of the MSc EF secretariat and will not be returned.
REFERENCE FORMS
The letters of recommendation are based on the standard reference letter format provided below. At least one of them has to be done by a teacher/supervisor at the applicant's home university.
